The last three chapters describe the aftermath of the press conference including the publication of my book, The Human Church, which resulted in my suspension from the priesthood. As the story will show, I was not acting alone, but always inspired and supported by many around me, including fellow priests and a very dedicated group of laypeople called Catholics United for Racial Equality (CURE), one of the first groups to use direct action in reforming the Church.
