With the hotel fully booked, and no other options available, the two women decide to put up with the situation and share the large room for their short time there. After the wedding, and with the two boys getting on famously, Alison and Abigail have the chance to sit down and talk…and they soon find they have a great deal in common with each other.

With a new friendship established, they exchange details and promise to meet up soon. Alison and Abigail stay in touch, and in the autumn which follows, decide to meet in Devon to celebrate their birthdays-which happen to be four days apart. They book Room 105 and upon meeting again, find that nothing has changed and that their friendship is as strong as ever-if not stronger.
