Out partying one night with some work friends, she gets drunk and meets and businessman named Terry, who's having a birthday party. After some drinks, he takes her back to her place for a brief night of fun.

The next month, Connie finds out that she's pregnant, and decides to have it aborted after telling Terry. However, he doesn't want her to have the procedure and insists that he can support her and the child. Connie has to decide whether she wants to hang on to her feminine pride, or give this cold businessman a chance at fatherhood.

----------------------------- EXCERPT FROM BOOK Connie's head was starting to hurt, because of the loud music. The DJ was playing Outkast now, and everyone was feeling it. She rubbed at her temples with one hand, sipped at her drink with the other, set it down, and stirred it.

Her foot was tapping but she kept her eyes closed, kept stirring. She felt the drink start to slop on her fingers, so she sipped it again and continued stirring with vigor. Someone yelled out her name and she bolted upright, pulling out the straw and letting it go flying as she looked around to find the voice.

It was from another friend, whose name she couldn't remember, and who was waving at her while grinding on a man in a fedora and mesh shirt. She waved back, and then saw the red straw spinning end over end in the air, and landing in front of her, on the suit's padded shoulder before hitting the ground. He noticed, picked up the straw, and turned to face her.

The man in the suit had such a clean face that Connie couldn't help but think what it would feel like to sit on it, blue eyes that could cut right through you. His curving jaw line moved seamlessly up through his cheeks and round ears, even though an earpiece was in one. His forehead was exposed and bare and had a sandy-brown top.

Connie liked that his hair length was the same all over. It told her that he didn't conform to trends, especially as a half-shaved, half-over-grown man danced past him. His suit was navy blue, his tie deep red, like a politician.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a 10,000 word stand-alone story with an HEA, so no cliff-hangers!
